crazy how time flies...when you're busy as hell!

Boy it's been a while. Just thought I'd pop a post on here to let anyone who still reads this blog that I am o.k and I am still alive and kicking. Life in my world has been hectic and crazily fun! I'm absolutely loving tertiary study and getting to know lots of new people and taking in all the new insights, information and perceptions of the world. It can all be quite mind-boggling at times.
So what has happened in the last month? Well.... I joined configure express gym. Both my boyfriend and I were getting sick of my inability to lift anything heavier than a can of beans. No jokes.....well almost no jokes :) I'm really enjoying exercising again and this gym puts you more in control of your gym routine which is what I love. It's cheaper than my old gym too! Bonus! I'm currently in the process of organising my own routine for that through the help of the wonderful world wide web. Annoying things is though that I am unable to maintain my grades, my workout routine and my eating all in balance. It seems its my eating that is running out the door scared sh*tless too! I don't even want to go into the mega-mondo amount of crap-o-mondo I have been eating. *sigh* My weight is back up 66.8kg and that scares me. I can't afford fat clothes, so I can't afford to get fat again. I'm almost a whole 5kg away from my goal weight again. As of tomorrow and I'm recording my points again though and I am going to begin on 20. I think it may have been the shift to 18 points that stuffed me up so badly. So as I have said as of tomorrow I am recording my points again and I am going to work out my gym program. I think my issue is that I'm allowing myself to get too hungry in the afternoon and this causes me to binge when I get home. I'm going to combat this with a banana in my bag for after the gym or something. My day and evening eating is fine its just the afternoon thats a bit of a b*tch.
Besides I keep seeing all the people from school that used to be nasty to me and they've all put on weight and I really don't want to go back to 76kg.
For now I plan on taking a break from this journal and going back to the old fashion written one. I have a few other identity issues that I'm needing to deal with at the moment and I feel safer confronting those in a space that is solely for my eyes. So for now this is ciao! But be warned I will still be lurking out there....reading...watching and occasionally dropping in notes :-) Take care everybody. If you want send me a message with your e-mail and when I do come back and start posting here I'll give you a tinkle.
Love Sam

I'm back from outta space!

PHEW! Is all I can really say. It's been one fabulously busy busy week and weekend. But it's over we're shifted in and we are unpacked! WOOHOO! I can even say I actually enjoyed having lots to do over the weekend. We shifted on the friday night and did some unpacking. I had work both saturday and sunday and I still managed to get the rest of the house organised and unpacked after I finished work each day. Fantastic :)
My first week at Tec was a little daunting to say the least, whether the tutors realise it or not they really scare the bajeebees out of the students sitting in that lecture hall on the first day. Throwing out to all the students the assignments that will be doing on top of all the weekly mini-assignments. But I'm over stressing now and I'm straight into getting the work done. I got my books on friday and I'm having to catch up on all the readings I missed last week as well as the ones I need for next weeks lectures and tutorials. But I'm LOVING it! It feels so good to have my brain ticking over again!
As I informed everyone during the week and half lead up to the shift and starting tec that I was bound to put on weight. I threw a few excuses out there but the truth is I couldn't be bothered really, with everything else going on I conciously 'let go' of my diet for the time being. But it's back and boy am I glad! SO SICK OF JUNK FOOD, TAKEAWAYS and anything FATTY! I drew up my meal plan for the week yesterday during my lunch break at work and went grocery shopping afterwards. Now the only things that are in my fridge are the things I'll need to last the week out. If I binge I'll have to go without somewhere down the track this week. The downside? We have a dairy right next door lol! So as long as I can stop myself from wondering over there I'll be sweet!
I'm officially up to 65kg and I am now onto losing my last 5 kg. I'm not only eating better again though I'm tackling my fitness levels (or lack there of). I'm starting with 4 weekly power walks and two sessions of yoga a week and I'll build on that. But considering I'm now living with my best mate (who loves walking) its likely that I will have a walking buddy.
Well that's pretty much everything for now. I will endeavour to update a little more often from now on and to all those losing weight out there, this is our year guys!
Have a great week everyone.
Ciao

Busy, busy, busy bumblebee.

Things are rolling along, been busy as. I've now got half the house packed pretty much, and I'm doing the other half this weekend and I'm also weeding the garden today.
I'm looking forward to starting tec on Monday, even if for the first week things will be up in the air for me.
Money is also a concern at the moment, I think I may have a week in the middle where I won't have any money, but I'll be able to make it up slowly over the term. :(
Eating really isn't going well at all, I'm not being very commited at the moment. I lost 300g last week but all of this week I have been eating really bad stuff, WAY too often. The only person I'm fooling is myself and every time I reach for some sort of food that I don't need I'm simply going to say "you don't need that, you're being greedy, and you'll put the weight back on". I've been avoiding the whole issue.
Although I'm looking forward to starting nursing I'm also getting very nervous about my ability to cope. We met with first year nurses near the end of the year last year and they all looked so stressed out and couldn't stop talking about how hard it is. Scary!
I'm choosing to take all this shifting and moving around and busyness one step at a time though. It's the only way that I can see myself getting through it.

Wowzer!

I look so damn hot!!! Yeap, that's right, all my photos are up. This isn't a long post because I have friends coming around to celebrate. I'm doing my clothes shopping tomorrow with sarah because she had work the day I wanted to do it and tomorrow is the only day that we'll be able to go together!!!
But don't I look good (referring to my before and after photos)? Will update again tomorrow with photos of all my new clothes and things.
Look out hamilton stores, here comes sam!!!
3 DAYS OFF!!!! Woohoo! It's been 33 & 36 degrees in my work the last couple days so I'm needing these days off.
Will post again in a day or so. Ciao

I have the power!

The universe actually heard that I was pissed and managed to sort a few things out for me. Isn't that cool? Maybe it just needed to know I wasn't putting up with shit any longer.
Got my digital camera, finally! Got a letter in the mail the other day saying "tried to deliver, you weren't home, blah blah blah!" so I gave them a ring during my break yesterday and drove out to pukete and picked it up from the office myself. Feels good to close that worry away.
For some reason shifting felt a whole lot closer yesterday and I actually got into the mood to pack. Not only this but tec starting feels closer too, only two more working mondays to go! YAY!
And because I'm going shopping the weekend before tec starts to get all new clothes I have renewed inspiration for weight loss. It was weigh day today and despite having eaten LOTS of crap this week, and over my points like 2 out 3 days I managed to lose like 800grams. Crazy! But that means I have 2 more weigh ins before I have my shopping spree to lose just 1 more kg!!!! I'm so excited! And I know I stated that I was going to stick to 18 points a day no matter what like a couple weeks ago, well this time its going to happen! I'm going to hit goal before I go shopping!
So now that I have my camera when I get home from work tonight I might pop a face photo up and compare it to my old one. I decided I'm not doing the before and after shots until after I hit goal. HIT GOAL!!! That sounds so awesome!
Have a fantastic day everybody!

ARGH!

Well totally blew my points today.
Doubt I'll lose much if anything this week now.
I want to be at my goal weight, I want to finish working full-time, I want tec to start, I want to be shifted so that I don't have to f*cking worry about this sh*t no more!! Most of all I WANT MY CAMERA!!!!
Ciao

P.S- Please don't be alarmed just finished playing a game with the boyfriend. He kicked my ass.....BAD. I'm an only child, I hate losing. Nuff said.

Flabby thighs

I see that there is something fundamental that is lacking on my new prettied up blog and that's photos of me. Sadly due to the fact that I still don't have my camera (new issues with this, I won't keep boring you with the lies I'm being fed by HP products) images probably won't be going up soon. When I do get it though, some before and after photos will be being taken so that's something to look forward to right? Wrong! They're of me in my bikini. LMAO! You'll all go blind I swear. I promised myself that when I hit goal I'd do the before and after photo thingee-ma-bob, despite the fact that I hate my thighs now more than ever. Everywhere else I can accept but they're are so out of place on my body now that they just look wrong!
Has anyone seen the movie 'real women have curves'? The scene in that where they all strip down to their underwear in the sweat shop, well I did that today with my aunty and mum. Scarey I know! But they wanted to see why I was complaining about my thighs. Afterwards they agreed with me. Ha! So I'm not imagining things. They didn't say they looked bad just that even if I lost more weight they probably wouldn't look any better and that toning is the way to go now. Any that means what ladies and gentlemen? Exercise. Plain and simple. *sigh* Thought I could escape this one. Don't get me wrong I love exercise....once I'm moving. Its the whole starting thing I have an issue with.
The plan is that when Tec starts I have 2 and a half hours between when I finish my classes for the day and when I have to go pick the man up after work. During that time I can get my spare studying done in the library AND go for a walk around hamilton lake (just up the road from the man's work). It won't be everyday of the week but 3 or 4 days a week will still be impressive considering its a 4km all the way around the lake. It would be nice to build up to running around the lake, but at this stage it will just be fast walking. I'll also get myself together a toning routine. Things like push-ups and sit-ups and things. I just need to make this program fit in with studying, because if it doesn't I will end up putting studying first.
If anyone has any ideas on this sort of thing it would be much appreciated if you could leave some tips.
Have a great evening everyone.
